Oh 2017 has been a blast! What a year! Full of plenty of highs it leaves me very excited for the year ahead. I thought I would share with you all a few highlights!
There has been so many changes this year, We have moved house, I’ve left my job to become fully self employed – This means I can give my all to my photography business, and also have the freedom to travel wherever the blog takes us.
I’ve acquired many an animal this year [I think I have a slight hoarding problem] but Snuffles has been the most rewarding by far… Watching Alfie take this little guy on as his own is truly the sweetest. You will be seeing a lot of these two next year – The dog and the hog are going to hit the road!
Pets at home – Pet Panel
This year Alfie and I joined the Pets At Home Pet Panel, which is a collection of uk pet influencers who get to try out the latest products and share them with their audience. We have had such fun testing out their products, and what’s even more exciting is that we have a very special shoot coming in their VIP Magazine in a couple of months time.
Working Alongside Ben Fogle
This year Alfie kissed Ben Fogle – That’s his claim to fame! We were very excited to be a part of the Act Against Lungworm Campaign, a cause that I believe in so much it was great to work together with some Instagram friends and of course Ben himself.
I couldn’t quite believe Alfie was asked to be included in the Autumn Barbour Dogs Campaign, It was quite the experience… We hopped on the train to London to spend the day shooting alongside two of our Instadog friends with the crazily talented Rachel Oats. This was Alfie’s first proper studio shoot, and without myself as the photographer – The dude took it all in his stride.
As mushy as it sounds being a part of this amazing community brings along some new friends, all who share the same love for their dogs – I have been so lucky to meet up with so many of our dog friends, and had some amazing adventures!
Travelling the UK
I feel so lucky that this blog has given us to many opportunities for James and I to travel the UK with little Alfie in tow! Last year we have been lucky enough to cover so many miles, from the gorgeous south coast to the Scottish Highlands… We have loved it, and I hope you have enjoyed joining us on our adventures. Both James and I are incredibly excited about the year ahead, we already have some great adventures planned.
We have been so lucky to get to test many a dog friendly accommodation, only sharing the very best with you – I love to hear that our adventures inspire you to try our recommendations, I love to hear your stories.
Thank you all for being such a big part in our lives, I can’t wait to see what 2018 has in store for us all!
