Winter Coats That Are Worth The Money

There’s a chill in the air, which must mean that winter is finally here! You can’t beat those wintery walks with your dog! As the temperatures drops it’s time to start thinking about a winter coat for your dog.

Buying a winter coat really is an investment, you want something that is stylish but also durable. With so many coats on the market, I thought I’d give you are a run down of my favourites. Ones that really are worth the money.

Fetch & Follow Deep Green, Winter Dog Coat

This is the newest addition to Alfie’s wardrobe, I had been lusting over the Fetch and Follow coats since they first came on the scene… I adore the deep green colouring, perfect for the country gent.

The Fetch and Follow winter coats are not only stylish [a must for the dapper dog] but they are also functional. The outer layer is made from a water resistant cotton which has a waxed layer added, so even on the rainiest of walks the rain should just roll straight off. Then for that extra bit of luxury they have been lined with a gorgeous Sherpa fleece, to keep them nice and cosy!

Something that really stands out for me is that they have a stomach piece, this easily fastens around your dogs waist to keep your dogs tummy clean and dry!

Alfie wears a size 5 – fits perfectly in length, and I can just about squeeze his giant chest muscles in.

Purplebone Brown Wax Jacket

I have a whole collection of Waxed Jackets… Both for human and hound, it’s the a staple piece in any country wardrobe. I think the Purplebone Brown Wax Jacket has to be one of my favourites. Alfie has put this jacket to the test hard, from the welsh mountains to paddling in streams – it is yet to let us down!

It is very much our “go to” day to day coat, as I can relax knowing it can take a bit of a beating… You spaniel owner will know what I’m talking about!

It’s a traditional waxed jacket, made from high quality Scottish Waxed cotton making it water resistant and strong! It has then been lined with a insulating fleece lining for extra warmth.

Alfie wears a size 18.

Teddy Maximus,  Sand Shetland Wool Waxed Dog Coat

The Sand Shetland Wool Waxed Coat is Alfie’s city coat, I will always have it to hand on the road just incase of a shower. You all know by now that I have so much love for Teddy Maximus, each piece really is such a luxury to own. The Coat has been lined with their signature sand Shetland wool, adding that extra bit of warmth and style.

It is also a waxed cotton [surprise surprise] so it is perfect for that rain shower when we are on the go… The last thing anyone needs is a soggy spaniel, especially when he insists on sitting on my lap on the tube!

It is easy to put on, with a simple popper chest piece and a strap that wraps around Alfie’s stomach which keeps it in place… No matter how quick you zoom!

Alfie wears a large.

I can hear you all asking… How many green coats does one spaniel need? You can never have too many – He looks fabulous! Even though these are all the same colour each is different, and will get used throughout the cooler months.

Each coat has been put to the Alfie test, and I am very confident when I say that these are worth the investment – I love them all!
