It’s common knowledge that Alfie is a born adventure dog, we are always off exploring somewhere new! Imagine our excitement when we were asked by Pets at Home to try their new 3 Peaks Spring collection. I must admit even though we do explore I have never bought Alfie any specific gear to aid our adventures. I just could not wait to try the collection out and share our favourite pieces with you…
In true “Alfie Bear” style we headed to our favourite location, Exmoor National Park. So on Easter Sunday James and I loaded up the car and took a drive down to explore. Even though we walked some miles throughout the afternoon. I knew exactly where I wanted to photograph the products, a gorgeous woodland just a short drive from the quirky little town of Porlock. [I highly recommend popping by after for a roast!]. The gorgeous rows of trees made the perfect backdrop. The walk itself takes you through the woods and up onto the moorland, giving you some breath-taking views.
The Excursion Harness
First up the Excursion Harness. Funnily enough Alfie doesn’t wear a harness, they usually wrap around his muscles in the strangest of ways making him look like a spaniel on steroids – Absolutely hilarious! Much to my surprise the excursion harness has enough body to it that it looks great on him.
The 3 Peaks Excursion Harness is both durable and stylish. It is well padded with a reflective trim, perfect to keep your dog seen when you are in low light conditions. There is also a handy handle on the back so you can assist your dog over obstacles when you are out exploring… Or if you are Alfie, you can let your humans carry you around like a giant spaniel shaped handbag.
I have paired the excursion harness with the 3 Peaks Ascent dog lead in Turquoise.
Silicone collapsible Travel Bowl
Now I think every adventurer needs this handy bit of kit, The silicone collapsible travel bowl. Soft and flexible you can easily pop out the bowl and give your dog a much-needed drink on your travels.
I have made sure I have one in the car, you never know when it will come in handy… It will also stop me attempting to pour the bottle of water in Alfie’s direction, more goes on him than in his mouth.
3in1 Multi Blade Dog Jacket
Alfie in a jacket is usually only saved for occasions where he has to stay clean, but sometimes it is important to keep him warm on the more challenging walks. This jacket is one for all eventualities! It splits into two individual jackets, a cosy fleece for those chillier days and then a wind and water-resistant shell for those rainy days! Then if you are looking for something a bit more substantial you can combine the two to keep your dog cosy and dry!
I love the colour combination of the collection, a lovely turquoise and grey with some classic hints of lime green. It really is fabulous!
The 3 Peaks Trek Collar & Lead
This Trek Collar is a classic, it’s practical but smart. It is comfortable and strong, with a soft neoprene lining to cushion your dog’s neck. Like the harness it has a reflective trim. Of course a matching set is essential, especially when the lead is as handy is this one. The 3 Peaks trek lead is hard-wearing with a soft neoprene handle to give you some extra comfort. Even better there is a shock absorber to help reduce any pulling tension. It also mean that if you were to take a tumble or to accidentally tug on the lead you dog won’t get pulled about too.
Most of the time Alfie will stay off the lead on our travels, but where there are instances where he must be kept on the lead [around livestock for example] this is perfect.
The 3 Peaks Charcoal Reflective Hoodie
I can’t help but chuckle at Alfie in a hoodie… That’s one super cool spaniel. The 3 Peaks Charcoal Reflective Hoodie is so soft and cosy. The perfect thing to throw on your dog after their walk to keep their muscles warm.
It also comes with the reflective logo on the back, so your dog will stay safe in low light conditions.
3 Peaks Grey Richmond Pillow
Now I wanted to share the Grey Richmond Pillow with you all, It is the perfect addition to any long drive… It is waterproof and durable perfect for your dog to rest on after a long day of exploring. You don’t even have to worry about getting them clean, before they crash! It’s easy to clean too!
… Getting Alfie to pose on a bed on his favourite walk was quite entertaining, Of course we had to have a little fun with it – Peekaboo!
3 Peaks Dog Toys
Now, I don’t think the toys need to much explaining! Of course Alfie’s favourite part of the collection… There is everything you could possible need to have lots of fun with your dog. I love the rubber stick – It’s the perfect think to stop Alfie from finding his own to munch on! A lot better for him as well!
Be sure to check out their whole range of toys here.
3 Peaks Dog Mat
Now this is my new life saver… The 3 Peaks Dog Mat traps in the mud, perfect for after those muddy walks. You can use in the house or if you like me it could be the thing to save your car seat [or James’s, my car seats are past saving.] They are super cosy and rather stylish… Alfie couldn’t wait to snuggle up.
A huge thank you to Pets at Home for teaming up with me on this blog post, we loved putting the products to the test. Not only are they great quality, they are affordable too! I’d definitely recommend checking out the collection.
I would love to know what your favourite piece is? I just love the harness!
