Ruff and Tumble | Dog Drying Coat

When it comes to drying coats I think it is fair to say that I had been stuck in a bit of a rut, using the same brand and style for years without even considering trying any of the alternatives that are on the market – At the time what I was using was convenient and did the job.

Recently I was given the opportunity to try a drying coat from Ruff and Tumble, one from their gorgeous country collection… We have been putting the coat trough vigorous testing over the past couple of months, lets just say we were not disappointed! It is definitely worth the investment.

First I feel I must share more about “Ruff and Tumble’s” dog drying coat, a coat which has been modelled on a horse rug. They are tailored to fit making them easy to put on, you just pop it over your dogs head, and then fasten the Velcro straps. Each drying coat is made using top quality double thickness cotton towelling, so it is super comfortable for your dog and very absorbent.
It is common knowledge that 99% of the time Alfie is either wet or muddy, but that is just the way I like it… So of course a good drying coat is essential! For me the Ruff and Tumble drying coat really was love at first sight, everything about it was just perfect for me and Alf. I love the style of their country collection, the faux leather trim really adds that little bit of luxury and actually reminds me of my favourite gilet – I’m going to confess, I get super excited that we now match!

I liked both the style and fit, I did have a little trouble with the sizes due to the fact that Alfie is such a strange shape – kind of like a scrawny bodybuilder. After some help from the team we had one that fitted perfectly and the bonus is that Alfie loves to wear it, he sits at the door waiting for me to put it on… Then after a mad 5 minutes of excitement he’s is snuggled up in his basket. The hood is a great feature too, something that sets them apart from most drying coats on the market and it is great for those soggy spaniel ears!
Each drying coat comes in a handy towelling bag… You can also pop it on your hand and dry their legs and the excess water off his belly as he is usually dripping wet! It is also helpful for those mucky paws after a zoom around the garden on rainy days.
From their classic drying coat collection to sofa throws Ruff and Tumble really do have everything to get your dog warm and dry but also keeping your house mud free! It’s a win/win situation really! You can view their whole range of products on their website.
